THE MISSION

Project Backyard is a service project initiative started by One Heartbeat, Inc. to provide consistent opportunities for Christian believers to unite together through serving those in need in their own backyard.

THE VISION

Our hope is to encourage and inspire Christians of all denominations, races, and ages to join together in a united effort to serve those who are in need in the community where they live.

OUR NAME

The name "Project Backyard" is rooted in our belief that you don't have to go overseas to do mission or service work, but there is a mission field all around you "in your own backyard".

OUR LOGO

Inspired by Isaiah 58:10, we chose the lightbulb as our logo to communicate that we, as Christians, are called to be “LIGHT” in a dark world, and we shine brightest when we join together in a united effort to love and serve those in need in our own backyard.  The flame at the center represents the source of all light and the “fire” (presence) that lives within us, Jesus.  He is the heartbeat of everything we do and our motivation for showing love to the world.
